7. Philly Marks Itself Out

It’s hard being a semi-local boy when Philadelphia fans do something dumb. And some of the lower common denominators tend to do some dumb stuff. (All cities’ fanbases have idiots, but we seem to be the group that never gets a pass. You boo Santa Claus one time…)

But The Revival took one of the Philly faithful’s closely held loves and turned it against them. No, not the Super Bowl-bound Eagles, ECW. During a post-match promo, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder referred to the Graham Brothers for comparison, and then chastised everyone for not knowing their wrestling history.

Dash called out the fans, saying they were too busy chanting “ECW!” and trying to get themselves over. On cue, the fans chanted “ECW!” That prompted Wilder to point out that he and Dawson learn from the past, while the fans can’t stop living in the past.

Ouch. Very ouch.
