7. Charlotte Cuts Bait, Dana Fights Back

This was getting written up as a “down” until Dana Brooke finally stood up for herself Monday night.

After losing to Sasha Banks in a matter of seconds, Dana was in the ring getting dressed down by Charlotte Flair, who justifiably cut her loose as her protégé. That alone merited acknowledgement, as Brooke has been awful as the Queen’s protégé, losing nearly every match and screwing up at every turn. If anything, Dana was making Charlotte look incompetent by association.

But rather than slinking away, Dana stepped up and attacked Charlotte, showing more fire and personality in 30 seconds than she had in months. Just like that, she went from an afterthought to drawing a “Dana” chant from the crowd. That’s quite the turnaround. We’ll see if this goes anywhere, but it’s better than nothing.
