Sometimes you don’t need a really good, technical match to make a point.

In Austin Aries’ case, he was making his Raw in-ring debut and needed a convincing victory, nothing more. And that’s exactly what he got over Ariya Daivari, taking control early and putting his feet up before getting down to work and taking him out with a rolling elbow for the win.

It’s funny to think that we’re likely heading into WrestleMania with the Cruiserweight Championship being contested by two men (Neville and Aries) who weren’t involved in the very tournament that rebirthed the title. But Aries is a serious player, and Neville has been on fire since returning to action, so this could be a really good rivalry as Mania draws near.
