Look, we all know that interference is a typical component of wrestling matches, especially when it’s needed to create new rivalries and get around some tricky situations. But that doesn’t make what happened Monday night any less frustrating.

Miz, Finn Balor and Seth Rollins were tearing down the house with a main event match to determine a new #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship when Samoa Joe interfered and took out Rollins indicating that they weren’t done yet. Moments later, Bray Wyatt appeared and dropped Balor, allowing Miz to pick up the scraps and win the match.

On the good news front, we just got three feuds, two of which are “new:” Balor/Wyatt and Miz/Dean Ambrose (a carryover from SmackDown), while Joe/Rollins will continue.

But on the bad front, we had to have double interference mucking up a really good main event match. One person interfering is one thing, but two? And that gave us the oh-so-fresh matchup of Miz and Ambrose for the IC title. We didn’t even get a new title match out of the deal.
