4. Using Enzo To Great Effect

Despite an ugly-looking injury that forced him to be stretchered out of the arena Sunday night, Enzo Amore thankfully only suffered a concussion and was released from the hospital that night. Knowing that, it made it much easier for some superstars to use his injury to get some heat, which worked really well.

First, the New Day wished Enzo well €“ and sent him a box of Booty-O€™s cereal (with a pinch of unicorn magic) €“ and showed a pic of him leaving the hospital. Playing up to the fans and being the bearers of good news only brought them more goodwill from the crowd.

But it was the Vaudevillains who got the most mileage out of Enzo€™s injury. Aiden English called the injury tragic, but quickly added that a €œreal man€ would have gotten back up from that bump. Simon Gotch riffed on Amore€™s routine and said that they made Enzo €œthe realest guy in the emergency room€ and asked the injured star, €œHow are you doing?€

Simple stuff, really, but it was good to see an untimely injury (that had a happier ending than originally thought) used properly to build a feud.
