8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 8)

4. AOP Continues Path Of Destruction

It’s pretty clear that WWE is pulling the trigger on the Authors of Pain as a dominant tag team in the near future.

The duo has been on an upward trajectory ever since teaming with Baron Corbin against The Shield a few weeks back, running over established tag teams in muggings after matches. They took out The Ascension and Bobby Roode & Chad Gable Monday night, pretty much elevating themselves over the lower tier of tag teams without having to beat them.

Although the champs are heels (Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre), it seems likely that AOP will be in a position to challenge for the titles in the coming months, either through transitional champs or even a heel/heel dynamic.

Either way, it was good to see that AOP is still being treated like a destructive force rather than WWE taking its foot off the pedal.
