8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept 16)

3. Mayor Champion

Raw emanated from Knoxville, Tennessee Monday night, making it a perfect opportunity to call in a favor from the top elected official for the county.

Glenn Jacobs, better known as Kane, showed up to give R-Truth a tour around Knox County, where he’s mayor. The angle included a trip to University of Tennessee’s football stadium, where Kane revealed that a cop was actually a licensed referee. Truth tried to back away, but turned and ran into the goalpost, knocking himself out, and Kane became the first elected official to win the 24/7 Championship.

Naturally, it didn’t end there, as Truth rode on top of Kane’s limo and jumped down to roll up the mayor to regain his title. Thankfully, the two reached a truce and walked into the arena to watch Raw together.

The segments involving the title had been a little stale lately, but this one worked really well and was really enjoyable, even if you could see it coming a mile away.
