4. Matches Get Short-Changed

After eight weeks of matches, you would have thought that the Mae Young Classic finals would have been a 15-20 minute affair, giving Toni Storm and Io Shirai plenty of time to shine and win over fans.

Instead, they barely got 10 minutes.

The match itself was fine (more on that later), but just when it felt like it was getting warmed up, the match abruptly ended with Storm hitting her second Storm Zero of the contest for the win. And just like that, Triple H was presenting Toni with the trophy, bringing the tournament to a close.

But it wasn’t just the Mae Young Classic finals that felt short-changed. The NXT Women’s Championship match between Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane also felt a little short, though it crammed a lot into that time. Still, a couple more minutes might have given it a little more of an “epic” feel for a title match.
