8. Tag Team Chemistry

One of the things that got Team Hell No to resonate with fans was watching two complete opposite gel in the ring while still unable to function outside of it. (It also helped that Kane and Daniel Bryan were really funny in their roles.)

Cesaro and Sheamus aren’t there yet, but they showed the in-ring aspect of that kind of Odd Couple pairing Monday night, as they knocked off the New Day in a nontitle match. We’ve already covered the negatives of having a bout before the title match, but let’s appreciate the fact that these four turned in a pretty damn good match that featured some hard-hitting moves and a flurry of offense at the end that saw Sheamus sneak in for the Brogue Kick and the pin.

This isn’t to say that it’s a sign that the European team is going to win on Sunday, and it’s quite possibly a little too soon for that to happen, but Sheamus and Cesaro looked impressive as a team (when they got along) and both teams had a really competitive match. It could bode well for Sunday’s tag title match.
