7.Flair Family Feud
When it was announced last week that Dr. Phil would be the Raw guest host this week, it was impossible not to groan with disgust. However, even though this item is marked as a down, it should be noted that it was far better than originally expected.
Dr. Phil showed up to confront Charlotte about her unhealthy relationship with her father, Ric Flair. He said that Flair was holding Charlotte back, that he was corrupting her and making her rely on dirty tricks to retain her Womens Championship. To her credit, Charlotte simply threatened to chop your hillbilly butt all the way back to Texas.
During Charlottes title defense against Natalya later, we saw Flair pay dividends as he pulled the referee out of the ring seconds before his daughter tapped to the Sharpshooter, thus saving her title.
Now, if this Flair is holding Charlotte back angle carries through in coming weeks, then this could easily become a positive. But you cant help but feel it was a one-time thing to fit the guest host.
