8 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (April 11)

1.Everybody Hates Roman

Man, Roman Reigns just can€™t catch a break, can he? The poor guy shows his face Monday night, and he€™s instantly booed. He punches the League of Nations, and he gets booed, He tags in Bray Wyatt, and the villainous cult leader is cheered while you€™re showered with boos. So much for being the new face of the WWE.

In all seriousness, unless WWE is planning to move Roman into an in-between phase (think a cocky champ who thinks he€™s standing up for what€™s right and justified, even if it means attacking a fan favorite), then he€™s in for a really bumpy ride. And considering that he€™s facing AJ Styles in three weeks (and likely winning that bout), then you can imagine just how rough it€™s going to be.

Reigns has the unenviable task of running with the ball after WWE spent the better part of the past year-plus building him up as €œthe guy,€ and fans don€™t buy into it. You can only hope that he finds a way to emerge from this, much in the same way his cousin was once destined for greatness and was rejected by the fans. Things turned out OK for The Rock, don€™t you think?

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
