2.Look! Ambrose Is Wacky!
We get it, Dean Ambrose is a lunatic (fringe). He does and says crazy things and acts wacky all the time. Witness Monday, when Ambrose took over Chris Jerichos Highlight Reel, bringing his own plastic potted plant, handwritten sign and clip-on tie. Is my tie on straight?
There was nothing functionally wrong with anything Ambrose did Monday, nor was it a bad segment, but personally it would be better to see Ambrose move beyond being the wacky neighbor or sidekick. He has a fan following that would lend itself to being a main guy. Fans flock to him and want to see him be successful, and yet he keeps losing big feuds and matches (Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns and Triple H). Hes like Bray Wyatt without the beard or buzzards.
But after months of this, you start to want Ambrose to grow beyond this comedy role hes in now, where he takes on serious feuds but makes little jokes throughout. Maybe well see it sometime in the next few months, but right now, his shtick matches up nicely with Jerichos straight man villain, so expect more of the same for now.
