8 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 13th)

7. A Random Tag Partners Match That Works

WWE loves to do makeshift tag team matches where it takes four guys involved in two feuds and partner the faces together against the heels. It typically becomes a match that just doesn€™t work, at least not as well as the bookers probably envisioned it. But Monday€™s bout pitting Randy Orton and Ryback against Sheamus and Big Show actually worked pretty decently at the end. Miz€™s antics on the outside helped immensely, but once Show chased Miz out of the arena, the real fun came when Sheamus channeled his inner Batista and gave Ryback the thumbs down, only for Orton to slip in behind him, mock the pose and RKO him. Ryback hit the big splash for the win. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TUbsgEBlrw It helps when you have a crowd that is really into everything €“ as Monday€™s crowd was €“ but it just looked like things clicked nicely for the finish. Not every positive is going to be earth-shattering, and while this one was a small part of Raw, it still was good to see.
