8 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 9th)
1. Bait And Switch

When it was announced that Big Cass was going to face Chris Jericho in the main event of Raw, it had to raise eyebrows across the WWE Universe. Cass has not wrestled a televised singles match since March 2015 in NXT. Still, you had to be a bit excited at the prospect of WWE unexpectedly pushing a new star right to the main event like this.
And then the main event came and it evaporated into Dean Ambrose vandalizing Jerichos light-up jacket. The match never happened, and the most Big Cass got to do was toss Y2J around a bit before throwing him into the ring so Ambrose could hit Dirty Deeds on him. Cass seemed fine with his big main event match being upstaged and usurped rather than being upset about his opportunity disappearing.
If you were a fan who was curious to see how Cass would handle a big match like a Raw main event against Jericho, maybe you were satisfied at seeing Ambrose steal Y2Js jacket (which in the dark was actually a pretty cool visual) and destroying it. But if you wanted to see a match, you were disappointed.
