Lets put aside the ending to the match. AJ Styles versus John Cena was a really, really good match for the first 98% of the contest.

Styles and Cena traded moves early on, with Styles seemingly one step ahead of him at every point. Cena could not get untracked against the Phenomenal One, but eventually, the two settled into a bout that had fans buying every near-fall as they kicked out of each others finishers, escaped big moves and continuously countered the other man. It had a big fight feel, and it didnt disappoint.

The only saving grace of the finish of the match was that it likely set up a rematch, one that hopefully will turn Styles a major player in WWE with a more convincing win. For now though, fans certainly saw Sunday night that Styles can hang with Cena every step of the way.
