It had been a while since the heel wrestlers in WWE united themselves and triumphed over the faces without the help or direction of the Authority. Thats why the closing shots of Raw with the newly formed League of Nations and WWE Tag Team Champions New Day celebrating in the ring together were so powerful. Between the two groups, you had most of the title-holders in WWE in the ring, all on the same side, fighting for the same thing. When was the last time you saw factions like that united for a single cause that wasnt part of the brand extension or some GM argument? New Day had been in a couple segments already, but they really were on a roll, so when they appeared to join the League of Nations for the main event, it just continued their entertaining night (though they picked up a triple threat tag title match along the way, so it wasnt all peaches for them). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGAIzg_hacs The heels also prompted the need for faces to unite, which gave WWE a reason to take running buddied Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose and pair them with Reigns cousins the Usos, making for a solid foursome. Again, it wasnt the most dazzling team ever assembled, but it made the actions of more wrestlers more interesting and relevant, which is a laudable goal. Plus, it was an ending that didn't involve the Authority directly, which is another positive.
