8 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 30)

4. Worst. Finisher. Ever.

After watching it for more than a month now, it€™s safe to call Alberto Del Rio€™s top-rope stomp the worst finisher in WWE today. It€™s the most contrived finishing move you can imagine €“ and this is professional wrestling we€™re talking about €“ and it needs to be called out as such. During Del Rio€™s match with Goldust, the Bizarre One tried to hit what looked like a version of Bo Dallas€™ Running Bo-Dog, but he slipped on the middle turnbuckle and crotched himself. Del Rio kicked him in the back, which led to Goldust trying to pull himself up, setting himself up perfectly for Alberto to jump off the top rope with a double stomp to the chest. It looks sillier and sillier to watch guys who don€™t normally climb the ropes or run the turnbuckles put themselves in a position where they can be €œtrapped€ in position for Del Rio to stomp them. It€™s worse than the horror movie cliché of the girl who runs upstairs to get away from an attacker. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlbIbkSBSrY The worst part is that Del Rio has a legit submission finisher in the Cross Armbreaker, and the combo move he used to beat John Cena (remember him?) clean, the Backstabber/low superkick, hasn€™t been utilized to end a match since. If it€™s good enough to beat Cena, shouldn€™t it be enough to defeat Goldust?
