8 Ups And 9 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 31

DOWNS€

9. Silence The Music

For some reason, WWE loves to have live musical performances at WrestleMania. Maybe it€™s because they are harkening back to the Rock €˜n Wrestling Connection. And Skylar Grey and Kid Ink performed the officials Mania themes, so at least they were there for a purpose. However, nearly every concert performance at WrestleMania deserves the same criticism of being woefully out of place and a waste of time. Basically, unless you€™re playing a wrestler down to the ring €“ such as Living Colour for CM Punk or Motorhead for Triple H €“ you really don€™t have much of a reason to be performing at WrestleMania. If WWE was so hellbent on having a musician perform at WrestleMania, have it at the tail end of the kick-off show to welcome fans to Mania, not right in the middle of the event to completely kill the momentum.
