8 Ways NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn Will Overshadow WWE SummerSlam

7. A More Passionate Fanbase

Brooklyn is always a great crowd, so both SummerSlam and Raw should be a lot of fun when it comes to the inventive chants they'll come up with and who they end up rooting for (it's not hard to imagine Seth Rollins getting a lot of cheers in his match against John Cena for example). However, NXT viewers tend to be more hardcore wrestling fans than those who just watch the main WWE programmes, so throw the fact that NXT TakeOver is taking place in Brooklyn into that equation, and the results should be amazing. Looking at SummerSlam's card, there are more than a few matches which the crowd is likely to be dead for. Those for the Intercontinental and Tag Team Championships feature some Superstars who will receive decent pops, but the matches contain such familiar combinations of wrestlers that things will no doubt settle down as those in attendance save their energy for some of the event's bigger bouts later in the evening. That's not a problem NXT ever has, and it should be reflected on the night. Even the NXT Superstars at the bottom of the card receive unique chants and a great response down in the relatively small Full Sail Arena in Orlando, so a 13,000 strong crowd should help to make NXT Takeover: Brooklyn a night to remember. The way NXT fans respond to wrestling is what distinguishes them from the more mainstream WWE audience in some ways, so the strong "This Is Awesome!" chants which will no doubt occur during the Women's Title match are sure to separate that from the tepid response the three way Divas match at SummerSlam is no doubt going to receive after fans have spent weeks seeing those women fight each other again and again.
