8 Ways NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn Will Overshadow WWE SummerSlam

5. Jushin Thunder Liger Returns

Make no mistake about it; Jushin Thunder Liger is a legend. His high-flying, hard-hitting style in WCW in the early '90s defined cruiserweight wrestling, while we also have him to thank for the creation of the Shooting Star Press. However, if he were to debut on Raw next week, it's a fair assumption that the vast majority of viewers might not know who he is. That's to be expected, as even those who watched wrestling during the period he was big in America may not have tuned into WCW programming to check him out, while younger fans probably haven't even heard of him. However, thanks to NXT's audience being made up of primarily of hardcore wrestling fans who knew Kevin Owens as Kevin Steen and Finn Balor as Prince Devitt before their NXT debuts, you better believe that Liger will get the reception he deserves when he arrives in Brooklyn. All that history aside though, and Liger's match with the talented Tyler Breeze should be a real show stealer. Despite only really flirting with a main event spot in NXT, Breeze is just as talented as the Superstars now making their transition to the main roster. This match is also pretty much guaranteed to be great and should be an exciting and high-flying affair. It's also tough to predict how this one will play out. Will Breeze go over the veteran talent or is this going to be a triumphant return of sorts for Liger? As an Arrow fan, I can't wait to see Stephen Amell at SummerSlam, but as guest stars go, Jushin Thunder Liger has him beat!
