8 Ways WWE Can Build Interest In 205 Live
5. Refresh The Talent Pool
Some of WWE’s most talented wrestlers currently call the Cruiserweight division home. From Neville and TJP to Rich Swann and Jack Gallagher, 205’s is a tremendously exciting group, but one that has barely changed since the division’s rebirth.
There’s nothing like new blood to revive a struggling brand, and 205 could benefit from bringing a few new faces into the mix. Kalisto should have joined the group a long time ago, and Gran Metalik (one of the most exciting high-flyers in the world) is currently sat at home, twiddling his thumbs. Both would be tremendous additions, and should be thrown into the mix immediately.
A number of WWE’s UK stars would work well on 205, even as guests, while NXT’s Andrade Almas, Hideo Itami, and Oney Lorcan also fit the bill. Outside the company, free agents like Kota Ibushi and Zack Sabre Jr. would make tremendous additions, though both turned WWE down last year.
205 Live is only an hour long, so WWE can’t just sign a dozen new competitors at once. A handful of the aforementioned names would make all the difference, however, and inject new life into the struggling brand.
