8 Ways WWE SummerSlam 2017 Can Outdo WrestleMania 33

5. Cash-In Excitement

The prospect of an imminent Money in the Bank cash-in always generates excitement, no matter who's holding the briefcase. Sure, WWE have often botched the individual moments (see: Sandow, Damien), but when the champion is vulnerable and the case-holder's music hits, it creates a palpable sense of buzz among the audience.

This year's SummerSlam brings the prospect of not one, but two Money in the Bank cash-ins. Baron Corbin has the men's briefcase, and Carmella the women's, and with title-holders Naomi and Jinder Mahal both set to compete, there's a good chance we'll see at least one of these vultures strike.

Corbin seems the most likely. It has been reported that Shinsuke Nakamura will take the WWE Championship from Mahal, only to fall to 'The Lone Wolf' seconds later, thus establishing Corbin as SmackDown's top dog. A troll move? Perhaps, but one that should generate major heat for a wrestler who desperately needs it.

Carmella hasn't done a great deal of teasing on the women's side, but while she wouldn't be most fans' first choice of champion, Naomi's reign has been far from exciting. A change could do the division the world of good, particularly if WWE come up with a fun cash-in method.
