8 WCW PPVs For Newbies To Watch On WWE Network

7. WrestleWar 1992

WWE.comWWE.comWarGames. It was a signature WCW match for so many years. A lot of them are great matches, but the one at WrestleWar 1992 was the best. The face team was Sting's Squadron comprised of Sting, Barry Windham, Dustin Rhodes, Nikita Koloff & Ricky Steamboat going up against The Dangerous Alliance consisting of Arn Anderson, Beautiful Bobby, Steve Austin, Larry Zbyszko & Rick Rude and they were led by Paul E Dangerously (Heyman) and Madusa. The match was a bloodbath with Anderson, Austin, Rhodes and Windham all busted open. It helped sell the brutality of the match. What really worked is that the heel side really was a great unit while the faces had to work together to get the job done, which they did. Sting made Eaton submit with an armbar after Zbyszko accidentally hit Eaton with a metal object from the turnbuckle. The second best match was an awesome tag between The Steiner Brothers and the team of Takayuki Iizuka & Tatsumi Fujinami. It was basically just a showcase for the Steiners as they won to cement themselves as the best team in WCW. Ww 92 Earlier there was a Brian Pillman/Jushin Liger match that was mentioned as a classic. Pillman was having great matches with everybody during this period. On this show it was with Tom Zenk aka Z-Man. Really good as the third best match on the show. The rest of the show wasn't that great aside from those two midcard matches, but the main event is so epic that it's a must see.
