Britt Baker D.M.D has had the best year of her career, gaining momentum as a devious heel while also becoming AEW Women's Champion. It might seem surprising to see her on this list, but how often do we see a woman top a list of best wrestlers of the year? It's about time to change all of that.
Baker's ongoing feud with Thunder Rosa has been a highlight of AEW and a women's division that hasn't had a lot of focus put upon it. She is changing that, week in and week out, not just by putting on great matches but with her character work. She has had Rebel-not-Reba by her side for some time but with Jamie Hayter returning this August, the doctor has even more backup than before.
Baker is obviously passionate about the business and the division, working with everyone and elevating everything to an elite level. She has worked with up-and-coming stars of the division Red Velvet, Tay Conti, and Anna Jay while also getting the chance to explore new signings to AEW like Ruby Soho. The division still needs time to grow but Britt Baker is a shining star in the business.
