8 WILD Outside Bets To Win Wrestler Of The Year 2021
3. Minoru Suzuki
Minoru Suzuki is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, having worked all over the world, but this year he should be in contention for wrestler of the year. After being locked out of America due to the global pandemic for all of 2020, Minoru Suzuki continued his legendary career by coming to the US and facing off against a whole list of stars, creating dream matches, and appearing in GCW, IMPACT Wrestling, and AEW.
His ongoing feud with Jon Moxley has been very exciting to watch, with singles and tag matches. Suzuki has also had the opportunity to face off against Bryan Danielson in one of the best matches in AEW history and both men's careers. Everyone knows Minoru Suzuki is one of the best in the world yet he is rarely included in the conversation for wrestler of the year, despite the fact he always puts his all into every match he is a part of.
While in IMPACT Suzuki feuded with Josh Alexander, this storyline lasted for just under a month yet again showing Suzuki's ability to adapt to any situation and opponent. His big return to GCW saw The King face off against Jonathan Gresham, Homicide, Joey Janela, Nick Gage, and Chris Dickinson.
