8 WILD Outside Bets To Win Wrestler Of The Year 2021
2. Josh Alexander
Josh Alexander has been one of the best wrestlers in the world for some time, with appearances at GCW's Josh Barnett's Bloodsport and holding down the fort at IMPACT Wrestling, he should be in contention for wrestler of the year.
After Ethen Page left IMPACT for AEW, Alexander has transitioned into a more prominent role on IMPACT TV as a singles wrestler. In the past year, he has won the X Division Championship, faced off against Christan Cage for the IMPACT World Championship, and made his in-ring debut for New Japan Pro-Wrestling. After such a cathartic moment for all his fans, the championship was taken by Moose when he called his shot at Bound For Glory. This will hopefully lead into a championship match somewhere down the line in 2022 and maybe next year he will be in the conversation.
Alexander has had the opportunity to face off against other legends of the industry this year including Petey Williams, Chris Sabin, and Minoru Suzuki while making IMPACT Wrestling a promotion to watch. The future is bright for Josh Alexander moving forward and he can do anything he want's at this point.
