8 Wrestlers Triple H Can’t Get Over In WWE
2. The War Raiders
The War Raiders felt like a certainty to thrive under Triple H's lead. The team had to suffer the dreaded Vince McMahon name changes (becoming The Viking Experience then The Viking Raiders), but Levesque reinstated The War Raiders name in October 2024. By the end of December, they'd won a tournament to become the tag title contenders on Raw and overthrown Judgment Day to become new champs.
Unfortunately, things didn't catch fire for Erik and Ivar. These War Raiders should be internet darlings. They’re a bonafide old-school tag-team who are both big, athletic and have real pedigree. They’re also ex-Ring Of Honor tag champs and conquered New Japan’s biggest tag prize too.
Somehow, they still don’t inspire love from the kind of hardcore fan you’d expect to be all over them.
They're currently doing good work in AAA on WWE's behalf, but that's a long way from walking into WrestleMania 41 as the tag champs. Dressing them up like numpties to advertise Clash Of Clans on WWE's biggest stage might not have been great for fans who once viewed these guys as a menacing, credible tag act, but such is life in the WWE under TKO.
