8 Wrestlers WWE Pushed In The WORST Way Possible

Another member of The Shield that WWE completely misunderstood was Roman Reigns. If Rollins was the wrestling technician of the group and Ambrose was the brute force, Reigns was meant to be the group's cool factor. Laid back and methodical with a look to die for, Reigns' appeal was that he had ice in his veins and would be the embodiment of cool. The problem with this was WWE's creative did not understand cool whatsoever.

After Seth Rollins took a steel chair to The Shield and broke up the group, Reigns character floundered for years. Some of that was down to fans over being force-fed a guy after over a decade of eating John Cena for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but a lot of it was down to Vince McMahon booking "a cool guy" with no idea of what it meant to be cool

As soon as Roman had Paul Heyman in charge of that concept, he became one of the coolest characters in WWE history. He delivers his lines like a mob boss, wearing the coolest shoes and clothes on the market. It's a long way from having to say "suckering succotash" to someone in a promo. His matches involve drama instead of being elaborate squashes. Vince McMahon's idea of cool is crushing all that stands before him, while fans love post-Vince Roman because he tells great stories.
