8 Wrestling Careers Ruined By Jumping To The Other Side
4. Randy Savage - From WWF To WCW (1995)
Randy Savage was a legend in the WWF, he held the WWF World title multiple times, won the Intercontinental title, had storied rivalries with Hulk Hogan, the Ultimate Warrior, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts, Ric Flair and Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat and did almost everything there was to do. For the duration of his stay, he was the company's face except for when he was overshadowed by friend and partner Hulk Hogan. Due to unknown reasons, Savage left the WWF in 1994 to sign up with WCW to join his 'friend' Hulk Hogan. Some may consider Savage's WCW run a success, but ultimately, it all boils down to the way Savage was used. Savage was primarily used as a prop, as a manager or accomplice to Hulk Hogan, very rarely was the Macho Man the focal point of attention or storylines, even when did hold the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. At the end of his run in '99 and '00, Savage was very much an afterthought, lost in the shuffle of constantly changing factions, alliances and hot potato title feuds. Savage left the WWF as a star who was apparently worth a $6 million dollar contract, while he left WCW quietly and never returned to professional wrestling, except for occasional appearances.
