8 Wrestling Careers Ruined By Jumping To The Other Side

3. Curt 'Mr.Perfect' Hennig - From WWF To WCW (1996)

Curt 'Mr. Perfect' Hennig is a talent who was always on the cusp of something much greater, but he never quite got there due to back injuries and other issues which meant he was mainly used as a manager in his last months working for the WWF in 1996. Regardless of his sporadic use, he appeared in WCW in 1997 without the Mr.Perfect moniker and soon joined the NWO. Like many WWF stars who defected late in the Monday Night Wars, Hennig was mostly ignored because the writing staff seemed to focus on already established WCW wrestlers such as Flair, Hogan, Hall and Nash. WCW seemed to hire WWF talents without any intention of ever really using them, WCW had enough talent for two wrestling promotions but ultimately it didn't improve the quality of the wrestling product, its overstuffed rosters only made for worse booking and a growing sense of directionless. Hennig's contract expired in 2000 after a dull 3 year run, eventually he resigned with the WWF in 2002, but was fired due to an instance of drunkenness and an argument with Brock Lesnar. He passed away shortly after in 2003.
