8 Wrestling Heel Turns That Were Immediately Reversed
1. Eddie Guerrero
Eddie Guerrero was arguably one of only a handful of wrestlers in history who was in equal parts effective as a face and a heel - so you can understand why WWE tried to switch him to the dark side in mid-2003.
The timing, however, was all wrong. Fans were still waiting for Latino Heat to break out as a main event star in his own right. They had no interest in booing him until he achieved his life's ambition of winning the company's top prize.
Attacking Tajiri probably wasn't the right way to do it either. Everyone loved the Japanese Buzz Saw, but he was by some distance the second most popular member of this short-lived two-piece, and therefore a poor choice to play the role of the fall guy.
Fortunately, despite having Guerrero brutalise his partner after he inadvertently put a dent on his limousine, the two quickly made amends a couple of SmackDowns later, and the whole thing was resolved.
