Bruno Sammartino may have made the WWE Championship his own, but his achievements are nothing compared to what The Fabulous Moolah did with the WWE (originally the NWA) Women's Championship.

An oft-recited statistic regarding the title is that Moolah's first reign lasted for a staggering 28 years. That's not exactly true - while Moolah did win the title in 1956 and she did lose it in 1984, she dropped it a few times in the interim. The first loss - one day short of a decade after Moolah's win - came at the hands of Betty Boucher. Moolah won the title back 13 days later. Over the course of the next 18 years, Moolah dropped the title three more times (for a total of 57 more days without the belt). WWE doesn't recognize those title changes, but when she finally lost to Wendy Richter in 1984, that was it for Moolah...until the next year, when as the masked 'Spider Lady', she captured the belt back. She racked up two more officially recognized reigns - including one in 1999 - before calling it a career.

Overall, Moolah had eight reigns with the title, although WWE only recognizes four. Either way, her combined total of 10,708 days - or nearly 30 years - with the championship is the stuff of legend. In a sport where most careers don't last three decades, Moolah's achievement with the WWE Women's Championship is incredible.
