2. The Wyatts Split And Go On To Individual Jobbing Careers
This is a faction breakup that made the Shields look positively Shakespearian in its depth and nuance. Whereas at least the Shield had a hokey heel turn to explain why they were breaking up, the Wyatts just got some vignettes implying that Bray was letting his charges go free. Becausewell we have no idea why. http://youtu.be/WeKP9C6OyOs It was strange because the Wyatt family were actually pretty interesting, and as a tag team Luke Harper and Erick Rowan were actually pretty formidable. The awful nature of how they were booked didnt hide the fact they had some superb matches with the likes of the Usos in a tag division that desperately needs as much help as it can get right now. Since they broke up they have been utilised absolutely ridiculously as well, which means the whole split was completely pointless. Harper has had fleeting success before becoming a singles jobber (while admittedly having one of the best matches of the year) and Rowan has been relegated to the purgatory of having to job to the Big Show (while conversely having one of the worst matches of the year). There was never any explanation for why Bray would want to lose his muscle, and there is no explanation for why the two charges would leave their master cult leader, but WWE figured we didnt need that anyway, because why would we? Its easier just to make change for changes sake and then blame the performers for the audiences inevitable apathy. And as for Rowan and his super brain, we are seeing the brakes being put on this one already, despite the fact that its barely a month old. So in a few months if Rowan hasn't been 'future endeavoured' already, those Rubiks cubes segments backstage are going to look even more ridiculous than they already have done.
