8 WWE Dropouts Who Revived Their Careers
3. Swerve Strickland
Something that stands out about Swerve Strickland is that he's a man who seems to be in total control of his worth. Having signed an eight-figure deal with AEW in 2024 that will see him contracted to the company until 2029 and worth every penny, it is unbelievable that someone of his talent was so criminally overlooked when employed by WWE.
Swerve's Hit Row stable had real potential, but clearly not enough for Sports Entertainment. Every member of the group was dropped unceremoniously at the end of 2021, and, when seeing the body of work that Swerve has put together since that injustice, it is truly unfathomable that the people in that company couldn't see what they had with him. From his successful Swerve In Our Glory tag team with Keith Lee to his now legendary long-term feud with 'Hangman' Adam Page, Swerve has proven himself to be one of the best and most dependable performers in the world today.
Also creating an empire away from wrestling in podcasting and even having a burgeoning rap career, it really feels as though Swerve is destined to stay at the top of the wrestling world for as long as he wishes.
