8 WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 Impulse Reactions

1. Drew McIntyre (c) Vs. The Miz

The Miz
WWE

Bobby Lashley beat the f*cking sh*t out of Drew McIntyre.

Still enraged from his loss earlier in the night and clearly making good on a deal MVP had done with the Money In The Bank contract holder, 'The All Mighty' returned to splatter McIntyre all over The ThunderDome before The Miz arrived to make good on the advantage.

At long last getting shot of that cursed briefcase and not looking pigsh*t thick in the process, The Miz had to nail two finishers but ended Elimination Chamber as WWE Champion, raising further questions about the WrestleMania main event with Fastlane still to go.

The call felt divisive - Miz is an ancient, ancient character like so many on the main roster - but this was well built across the evening and has very possibly resulted in a Lashley/McIntyre match for all the marbles at the 'Show Of Shows'.

How (and if) WWE get there remains to be seen, but this was enough of a surprise to end a satisfyingly short and inoffensive event. That description might not sell you on a Network subscription, but that's not WWE's problem anymore.
