8 WWE Factions You Totally Forgot Existed

6. The Original Nation Of Domination

"The Nation of Domination!", you might be thinking. "How can you say they're forgettable?! They had The Rock and The Godfather and Owen Hart..." Well, dial it back a bit. We mean the version before that. "Oh, right. The one with Faarooq and Mark Henry and Kama Mustafa..." Nope, even further. "Wait, what?" The Nation is certainly a memorable faction, as it helped give the most electrifying man in entertainment today, The Rock, the platform he needed to become just that. It also helped launch D'Lo Brown and reinvented Kama as The Godfather, and also reinvigorated Mark Henry's career a bit, as well as giving Owen Hart some much needed backup in his feud with D-Generation X. One might even remember before that version, when Faarooq was the leader who would be ousted, and even his brief alliance with rival Ahmed Johnson. But before all of that, Faarooq led a much different Nation, one with a black supremacist angle. Joining him in this group were manager Clarence Mason, Savio Vega, Crush, D'Lo Brown, the tag team of PG-13 (J.C. Ice and Wolfie D), and a collection of various other unnamed extras who also came to ringside to offer their support. As you can see in the image above, it was quite large versus the size of most other stables that weren't the original nWo. Unfortunately, it was also quite bloated, and with so many unnamed members (we don't even remember PG-13 being named on camera more than maybe once), it felt mostly like forgettable filler. After one loss too many, Faarooq decided to do some streamlining, effectively ejecting everyone from the group (with the exception of D'Lo Brown) to form a New Nation. Unfortunately for them, some of the jilted ex-Nation members decided to form their own factions, starting a period of "gang warfare" in WWF.
