8 WWE Factions You Totally Forgot Existed

1. The Truth Commission

Fun fact: For several of the groups mentioned in this list, there was no prior imagery to be found in the considerably vast WhatCulture.com archive; for those, we turned to WWE.com, who have galleries featuring many of those we were missing, and were relatively easy to find with a quick search. Except this one. It took quite a bit more searching than the rest, but we did finally manage to discover a couple of pictures of The Truth Commission, perhaps the most easily-forgotten of factions in WWE history with very little mention, even among the rest of these misfit mafias. The Truth Commission was a truly forgettable faction, largely thanks to the then-WWF apparently not having any idea of what to do with them. Shortly after being brought up from the USWA, the South African white separatist paramilitary group dropped their manager, The Commandant, and replaced him with The Jackyl. Things didn't go too well for the rest, either. Tank, who had wrestled in WWF previously as Mantaur, left the group after one match. Recon and Sniper had little luck in the tag division, which led to berating and slaps by Jackyl, followed by attacks from the last member of the group, Kurrgan the Interrogator. Recon and Sniper would go on to form the one-shot tag team of Armageddon before departing the WWF, while Jackyl and Kurrgan would go on the become founding members of our slightly more memorable #5 pick, The Parade of Human Oddities. And that concludes the list! How many did you remember, if any? And are there any that even we forgot altogether? Tell us in the comments below!
