2. Owens And Triple H Make The Cell Hell For Rollins
Owens retaining the Universal Championship is the sensible option here based on several ongoing angle-shaped buns the WWE currently has in the oven, and I don't imagine they'll switch the gas off at Hell in a Cell.
In the near-term, Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho seems to be the next destination for the Universal strap, so on that basis alone it's necessary that KO maintains his grip. It's fairly clear that the two are ultimately heading for a collision course, and the most obvious outcome isn't always the worst; nobody wants to see Jericho's stellar work from the past few months go to waste.
In the long-term, the match will likely be used as a vehicle to further Seth Rollins ongoing and as yet unresolved issues with Triple H - the denouement of which is penciled-in for Orlando's WrestleMania. The Game is no stranger to the cell, and although it ostensibly exists to prevent outside interference, expect Hunter to somehow break in and cost his new nemesis yet again. It's by far the most beneficial booking for all parties, and in this instance, WWE probably won't drop a bollock.
