8 WWE Stars In Dire Need Of A 2017 Draft

7. American Alpha

Similarly, the original excitement surrounding American Alpha's promotion from NXT has been lost on SmackDown. The arrival of Chad Gable and Jason Jordan was pushed into the background in favour of the Bray Wyatt/Randy Orton team and eventual split. Even a run as SmackDown Tag Champs didn't do much for Alpha.

Again, a feud with New Day is possible and would provide good matches, but both those squads are babyfaces. There's a sense that American Alpha require strong heels to work with instead, and they also need fresh teams to go up against. That's why Raw would be perfect for Gable and Jordan.

Positioning Alpha against Sheamus and Cesaro feels natural, and there's also the potential for them to cast as a modern day 'Team Angle', looking out for Kurt as Raw GM. At the very least, moving to Raw opens up possibilities, rather than letting one of NXT's best ever teams stagnate on SmackDown.
