8 WWE Superstars Who Were Never Eliminated From The Royal Rumble
5. Spike Dudley
For as much time as The Dudley Boyz spent with WWE, it’s peculiar that only one member of the group ever competed in the Royal Rumble match and only once. However, Bubba Ray wasn’t the first Dudley Boy to pull a number for the battle royal.
Before his big brother returned for the 2015 match, Spike had his opportunity back in 2004. But due to some unusual circumstances, he never made it past the entrance.
'The Big Red Machine' previously buried The Undertaker alive, which never amounted to squat: every single time, 'The Deadman' came back in Super Shredder mode. Regardless, Kane was genuinely spooked when he heard 'Taker's famous *bong* sound echo around the arena, which cost him the match.
Instead of The Undertaker, Spike Dudley then emerged as the next contestant, yelling and wagging a finger at someone in the back (presumably a sound tech). Mere seconds into his entrance, Kane yanked away his one chance in the Rumble match by demolishing the Dudley runt on the ramp. Officials peeled his body off of the grates, and WWE moved onto #14, Rikishi, without giving Spike the chance to be eliminated the old-fashion way.
