Nightmare: For all the hype, Survivor Series 2018 is another speed bump for the WWE creative team before they can focus full-tilt on the Royal Rumble-WrestleMania 35 push. There's been a sense for a good few months (since SummerSlam actually) that they're killing time and can't wait to get to January.

That renders Survivors, previously one of the 'Big 4' pay-per-views of the year, meaningless, and such apathy bleeds down to TLC in December as well. At least with that, WWE have four weeks of TV to build useful matches. That's not the case with Survivor Series.

Chances Of It Coming True: It's like WWE's writers are already looking beyond next Sunday's show.

They could be doing without it, no doubt, and the thing exists only so WWE 2K19 has some 'fantasy warfare' hype to shift copies pre-Christmas. Come Raw 24 hours after it finishes, Survivor Series will be firmly in the rear view mirror and inconsequential to whatever happens next.
