8 WWE Survivor Series 2018 Nightmares That Could Come True

2. WWE Drop AJ Styles To Change Things Up

Nightmare: AJ Styles and Brock Lesnar have already fought, at the same event, in 2017. Nobody could have imagined that they'd both be Universal Champion and WWE Champ respectively come the same stage in 2018, and yet here we are. It's a sad indictment of WWE booking that a match like Lesnar vs. Styles feels boring.

WWE may just agree, and they may want to capitalise on a dormant issue from SummerSlam 2016 by having Shane McMahon replace AJ. That'd help facilitate any Shane-O heel turn to come and further this 'Best In The World' nonsense.

Chances Of It Coming True: Don't bet your house against it.

It'd be preposterous, vile and annoying, but it'd be something different for WWE to hang their hat on at Survivor Series if McMahon stepped into AJ's boots, and they may fancy that reaction if he's turning heel anyway. Some sort of attack skit on SmackDown could excuse Styles from the pay-per-view and allow Shane to 'heroically' step into his shoes.
