God bless Terry Funk. After missing One Night Stand 2005, the Middle-Aged and Crazy one made up for it with a superb performance teaming with ECW alumnus Tommy Dreamer to tackle frequent opponent Mick Foley and the red-hot Rated-R Superstar, Edge.

The then-61-year-old-old Funk had, of course, threatened to retire many times in the past but never did. This was his biggest match in years, though, a WWE pay-per-view appearance opposite two big time stars. He hadn't actually wrestled for WWE since 1998, an absence of eight years.

Funk hadn't mellowed in that time and still revelled in engaging in the kind of extreme combat that he was famous for. He was taking bumps off of ladders, getting tangled up in barbwire and doing all sorts of things that a man his age shouldn't be able to do, let alone want to.

The man from the Double Cross Ranch even resurrected an old trick where he was taken out of the match midway through, only to heroically return towards the end and dish out some hardcore justice. His selling, timing and execution were all on point, classic Terry Funk.

He was a little worse for wear afterwards, having put his battered body through hell, but the match and his performance came off great and he was given a rousing reception from the ECW faithful.
