9 Annoying Types Of Wrestling Fan (That We All Know)
8. The One With A Serious 'Attitude' Problem
The fan with the Attitude Erection is (99% of the time) a white male who populates message boards and comments sections with constant references to how good things were back in those days. They have a nostalgic view that is so incredibly powerful, they have actually convinced themselves that they enjoyed Hardcore Title matches, Billy Gunn on the microphone, and Evening Gown bouts. Despite the fact that a lot of the Attitude Era was truly awful, and despite the fact that what made the Attitude Era was really the abundance of incredible stars who got to be themselves, this fan will crap on anything that someone enjoys and happens to have been produced post-2001. Daniel Bryan? He had nothing on Steve Blackman. Charlotte Flair? A poor man's Terri Runnels. The Usos? Nah, the New Age Outlaws were a real tag team. Wellness Policy? No way, it was better when all the wrestlers were drug addicts who died in their thirties. Be A Star? Bring back the homophobia, misogyny, and racism! I came into wrestling right at the peak of the Attitude Era, and I can say that parts of it were indeed awesome. But it was a product of its time a homophobic, racist, sexist, and generally bigoted moment in the past we are lucky is now behind us. This fan misses the 90s too much for it to be in any way healthy.
