While most people shared their reactions in the form of a
promo, Karl Anderson reserved his for a Tweet. Having been drafted to Raw
alongside Luke Gallows, and with AJ Styles now a SmackDown talent, The Club would appear to have disbanded.
As far as Anderson’s concerned though, it’s still very much alive and well.
He spoke about how The Club’s ambition was to come to the WWE and take over. And with part of the Club on SmackDown, and part of the Club on Raw, that’s exactly what they’re still doing. They’re simply dividing and conquering to achieve it.
The idea harks back to the rhetoric used by the Kliq when discussing Kevin Nash and Scott Hall’s departure from the WWE. With the Outsiders heading to WCW, and Triple H and Shawn Michaels still in New York, the Kliq still had their fingers in all the pies, just like The Club do today.
Another nice touch from Anderson to further a subplot within the brand split.
