7. There Will Be Tasteless Paige-Related Chants
If The post-'Mania Raw crowd is known for anything, it’s their artillery of creative, obnoxious, and even sometimes offensively inappropriate chants. A couple of years ago, the women wresters were bombarded with explicit catcalls regarding which male wrestlers they had sexually partnered with - a low point in Raw history.
The controversy surrounding Paige, Brad Maddox, Xavier Woods and the leaked explicit content has stolen quite a few headlines away from WWE during a week when WrestleMania should be dominating the news cycle for celebratory reasons. Thus far, the impact has been minimal in terms of how it’s affected the product - but we will likely be in for something very different once Raw rolls around.
It’s unfortunately probable that the raucous Orlando crowd is going to unleash quite a few questionable chants at New Day when they inevitably appear, and possibly even during the women’s matches as well. It doesn’t take much imagination to envision chants involving sex tapes and various other lewd remarks being unloaded on the performers like they were the NXT Women’s title belt.
