9 Current TNA Talent That Were In WWE NXT
2. James Storm
James Storm was just starting to hit his stride in TNA in 2012 as a babyface when TNA took the world title off of him and cut short his red-hot feud with Bobby Roode. He did nothing of note in the three years that followed, and as good of a heel as he was toward the end, he had achieved all he could there and it was time to move on.
Mere months removed from his departure, he made a shocking appearance in NXT on the Oct. 21, 2015 episode, defeating Danny Burch. He was greeted with "You belong here!" chants as soon as he stepped in the ring, and it was the best and happiest he had looked in years. After working a second match against Adam Rose in early December, it appeared he was an official member of the roster, but in actuality, he had yet to sign a deal.
In the end, TNA offered him more money to come back, and so he returned on their debut episode on Pop TV, reuniting with Roode as Beer Money. Ironically, Roode has since left TNA for NXT, so here's hoping The Cowboy isn't far behind. A Beer Money run in NXT would be nothing short of incredible.
