5. Mind Games To The Numbers Game For The Wyatt Six

Despite the berserk show-closing scene that included Chad Gable appearing for all intents and purposes like he'd been left for dead, there was a loving and delicate creative touch taken with the reintroduction of Bray Wyatt lore to WWE television following his devastating 2023 passing.

With some time between the heartbreaking news and return to television for the group, the creative team inserted countless teases into television, then, post-reveal, sat down with each member to help flesh out exactly why the former friends and family of Windham Rotunda were donning scary masks and personas during their periods of grief. It was tasteful and tethered to a reality that explained the theatrics that so often just come effortlessly baked into the cake.

All until WWE stopped making effort, anyway.

After an unexplained absence from television, the crew came back on SmackDown and became Tag Team Champions in short order. Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy started doing the rounds speaking in riddles to try and build dissension between the multiple parties, and that may yet result in the splitting of some of their rivals, but what actually materialised was far simpler - they just cheated because there was more of them. The Street Profits were the latest to fall victim to the numbers game, and may well split as result of it. But when the path to success all along was to behave like every other well-stacked stable, it renders the psychological warfare rather redundant.
