9 Match Star Ratings For AEW Fyter Fest

5. Nyla Rose Vs. Riho Vs. Yuka Sakazaki

This was blow-away good at its best, if loose at its worst. Nyla Rose impressed big time.

Overshadowed at Double Or Nothing, and honestly pretty sluggish in her movement, she projected herself as a formidable monster attraction here. There's a certain reaction only the best monsters can command - a sort of ominous "Ohhhh..." bass as the audience anticipates something very harmful coming the way of their opponent. Nyla orchestrated this incredibly by vaulting the top rope in one swift jumping motion, before clearing half of the ring and straight-up breaking Riho in half. A fantastic spot in a match full of good ones, the sequencing was convoluted but rarely contrived. Riho and the wonderfully endearing Yuka Sakazaki wrestled their own match at various points, a match-within-a-match fought at lung-bursting speed to avoid further, painful confrontation with Rose - a woman capable, in two further great spots that complemented the dynamic, catching and spattering both in unison.

A frenzied sprint and a meeting of two charming forces and an immovable object, this was unique, mostly well-worked and the first proper justification of Brandi's marketing hype.
