5. Tyson Fury Vs. Braun Strowman

Only at the finish did WWE effectively fuse the two disciplines at which Tyson Fury and Braun Strowman excel: a halfway inspired tweak on a knockout, Fury smashed Strowman with a right hook on the apron for a count-out win.

Prior to that, WWE once again proved itself incapable of something it was once great at: the celebrity match.

There were no smoke and mirrors here, no elegant agent work that obscured Tyson's inexperience. They simply worked an awful, very 'pro wrestling' wrestling match in which Fury naturally struggled to string anything together, nor execute his spots particularly well. A drop toe hold looked awful.

Really, this was worse than WCW's old experiments with celebrities, because they were as fugly as a motherf*cker but twice as over. This just existed, dismally, and Strowman looked a complete t*t. Fury unlocked the secret of countering his big stupid run-around-the-ring spot, and as it happens, you need only do a terrible version of the Roman Reigns drive-by to do that which no other trained, experienced wrestler has yet conceived of.

The celebrity always wins - that is the rule - but Strowman somehow contrived to make it all the more predictable by wearing a Sasha Banks-level, top-tier job face.
